Matters Of The Heart Part 2

What is the condition of your heart?

In truth, most people don’t think about the condition of their hearts. There are many Bible verses that shed light on the heart because God’s word is clear that the condition of your heart is critical in your walk with the Lord.

I am a committed Believer, actively involved in serving Christ. I’m not just a nominal (in name only) churchgoer but presently engaged in a ministry of my own through obedience to Christ fulfilling the hope and destiny in which He has called me. My hope is to bring revival to the hearts of God’s people.

God wants to open the eyes of your heart to the hope to which He has called you as His dear child. He wants to stir up a fire on the altar of your heart that can never be quench.

God is not looking at our outward appearance nor physical stature. Nor is He looking at how many followers your ministry has or the number of followers you have on social media. He is searching for hearts that He can show Himself strong on their behalf (1 Sam. 16:7).

Paul prayed for the church of Ephesus “that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, (Eph. 1:18).

The Bible says we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin diminishes your joy, dilutes the power of your prayers, and hinders your fellowship with God. Sin hides in the recesses (the inner hidden parts) of your heart and then manifests outwardly when we give into the desires of the flesh.

Sin hides in the recesses (the inner hidden parts) of your heart and then manifests outwardly when we give into the desires of the flesh.

We need to search our own hearts, and see if anything is there offensive to God.

Ask the Lord to create in you a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit (Ps. 51:10).

David cried out to the Lord,

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24
